This man looked right through my camera at a difficult time of his life, it is the most honest pose anyone has ever done for me. Little did I know at the time but his wife would pass away two weeks later from cancer.

david is an observer - intuitiveness inherited from his father and creativity from his mother. david has a bachelor of Architecture degree and while in college took a photography class with a professor that opened his eyes to photography beyond the built environment and instead taught the class how to 'see' the world differently.
Capturing images of people became an expression of the architectural education and the understanding of space, volume, composition and mix in the intuitiveness and understanding of people from his childhood has allowed david to see people differently. To not see a subject and try to get them to smile or pose, rather place people in an environment and allow them to be themselves and capture that essence of who they are in an honest manner.
